New Service Launches in NZ

After almost a year in development, the new FreeWay HomeStay service has been launched right here in New Zealand.  

The central theme to the innovative new service is the  "Host-Ride-Stay" system. It's designed to enhance the Road Trip experience of New Zealand road riders by enabling motorcyclists all over the country to share accommodation for as little as $5 per night.
Newcomers can think of it as  "Rotary Exchange"  meets  "Home Stay", but at just a fraction of the cost.

But FreeWay HomeStay offers much more than that! 
There are three primary Services in all;

DISCOVER  Our  'Discover'  service allows members to create, save and share road trip information with other members. The system has been designed to capture photos, and a rider's review of the actual road trip including the roads travelled, places visited, distance covered, road conditions, etc. We also use Google maps to display the actual route, and we use the Google co-ordinates of your trip to create the simplest search and find function you've probably ever seen in a system like this.

In fact our Road Trips have been categorised in seven 'Flavours' for even easier searching:

   Dazzling Day Trips
   Fabulous Feature Roads
   Quirky Backroads
   Amazing Hot Spots
   Overnight Road Trips
   Local Attractions,   and
   Nifty Short Walks

CONNECT   Our  'Connect'  service enables our members to 'connect' with each other in new ways. Our members can upload their own personal  'Pedigree'  of all the motorcycles the've owned and loved, and share their knowledge and past experience of these machines with each other. Members can enter their hobbies and interests, identify which club they belong to, and load their facebook, skype and business and personal website addresses.

Of course all of this is only made public at their own discretion, but because we're all together in one big databse, it's becomes really easy to 'connect' with each other. You can search for members who live near to you, or who are of a similar age group. You can search for members who do or don't belong to a certain club, or who share the same hobbies and interests as you do. Through our database, you'll get to know people. You'll find new riding companions and ultimately, you may even make new friends.  After all, isn't that what it's all about?


STAY   So when you've found or planned a new road trip, and when you've checked out our other members, you can put it all together and safely  'Stay'  with other FreeWay HomeStay members all over the country, knowing that just like you, every single member was carefully checked out by someone, before they could join. As a new member you'll get three (3) 'FreeWay Guest Credits' when you join and you can earn additional credits by Hosting other members from out of town. With these Guest Credits your accommodation will only cost you $5 per night. That'll get you a warm bed, a hot shower and a cup of coffee. And if you run out of Guest Credits? Well it's still only going to cost you $20 per night.


THE FUTURE?   We have a lot of future plans for FreeWay HomeStay too, so there's way-more to come! For example, when we extend our services Internationally, our members will all have the chance to explore the Road Trips databases of other countries at their leisure, or to plan their own trip-of-a-lifetime around one of those countries if they so wish. And, if they do take that overseas trip, they will be able to book accommodation with our International Members to enhance the quality of that trip in ways they can't even begin to imagine!
